School and Classroom Goals

Staff and students of Kishwaukee school work hard to achieve greatness every day.  One strategy that we use is creating goals.

Mrs. Kasper, teachers, and students all take part in this.  Below are the goals for Kishwaukee School set by the staff.

Kishwaukee School Goals

Between 2016 and 2018, Kishwaukee School's ELA scores as measured by PARCC will increase from 15% to 20%.

Between 2016 and 2018, Kishwaukee school's Math scores as measured by the PARCC will increase by 5%.

Every classroom also has reading (literacy) and math goals.  The classroom goals are directly related to the schoolwide goal.

Even though students in K, 1st, and 2nd do not take the PARCC , it is still very important for all grade levels and students to be a part of the process to help us achieve the goals.

Each student will eventually take the PARCC and we want to ensure they are ready.

Literacy (Reading):

By April, I can read 180 sight words.

By April, I can write three sentences demonstrating correct conventions .

Our two goals are directly related to the school goals.  Our reading goal of mastering 180 sight words helps students be on track for becoming successful readers.

Our writing goal will help students be able to accurately write sentences.
