Here, you will find information pertaining to the Low Incidence Autism Early Childhood classroom at Fairview School.Welcome to Room 13
Hello
parents/guardians, I would like to take a minute to introduce myself to
you. My name is Sarah Meyers, you are welcome to call me Miss Sarah or
Miss Meyers which ever you prefer. I am beginning my forth year at
Fairview, in the self-contained Autism Classroom. I enjoy working with
all types of children and value the process of getting to know each one
of them. I received my teaching certificate in May of 2008 and right
before that, I finished my Masters Degree of Science in Early Childhood
Education at Northern Illinois University. My previous education was
earned at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where I received a
Bachelors Degree of Science in Human Development and Family Studies.
I
have two returning assistants (Miss Kristine and Miss Saundra), a
speech pathologist (Miss Maria) and an Occupational Therapist (Miss
Lori), all of whom will be working with me to achieve this goal.
I want
to make sure this transition is as smooth as possible for you and your
child, if you EVER have any questions please, do not hesitate to
call. The classroom phone number is 815-227-8400 ext#35048 or you can
email me at
meyerss@rps205.com. I will return your call or email as soon
as possible. If there is something that you are curious about, I will
do my best to find the answer. Communication is the key to ensuring a
fabulous year.
