Daily Schedule/Routine
A consistent daily schedule is planned to help children know what happens next and includes:
  • Meal/Snack Time: children try healthy foods and learn to independently care for themselves.
  • Planning Time: children make a verbal and/or written plan indicating their choices for work time.
  • Work Time: children put into action their plans, focus on activities of choice and learn new skills.
  • Recall Time: children think about and build on their actions and express their ideas.
  • Large Group Time: children and teachers come together for shared activities, including reading books, language and literacy experiences, math fun and music and movement.
  • Small Group Time: teachers select activities and materials for children to explore.
  • Outdoor Time: children engage in physical activities and learn about nature​
