Ms. DenBraven Home

Stacey DenBraven

Welcome to my website! My name is Stacey DenBraven and you will hear your child refer to me as Ms. DenBraven or Ms. D. I do not stand on formality, so please call me by my first name. I am honored to be your child's teacher and I believe that we are a triad (you, me, and your child) that will need to work together to ensure his or her success.

I am a graduate of Rockford University and I have been teaching in the Montessori Middle School program for six years. I absolutely love the program and teaching within it. Having raised three daughters of my own, who are now all adults, I understand some of the challenges as well as the joys of this particular phase of your child's life. I have always had a heart for young people in this middle phase and I will do my best to help your child, not only academically, but also in the areas of character development, leadership, and working on his or her independence as he or she begins to make the shift from childhood into adulthood. My goal is to see each and every student succeed academically and become a person who sees beyond himself or herself and realizes that he or she can make a difference in our community and in the world.

In an effort to enable the students to be successful, I give them all my personal cell phone number. While I realize that this is not conventional, I want the students to have access to me if they have questions about an assignment or anything else or if they just need to talk. As I tell the students, if I am unable to answer their text or call immediately, I will get back to them as soon as possible. As part of the team, I encourage all of you to also call me or text me if you ever have any concerns, questions, or suggestions. Also, I do not access my district e-mail when I am not at school, so please use my personal e-mail address if you prefer to contact me in this format. My personal e-mail is sent directly to my phone, so I access it often. You may also contact me at the school, if you prefer. My cell number is 815-751-6891 and my personal e-mail address is

If you ever have any suggestions for or questions about this website, please feel free to share them. The purpose of this website is to give us an easy means of communicating regarding your child's education, so I want it to be a place where everyone can access and understand the information found here.

Again, thank you for entrusting your child to my care. Because I am a parent myself, I understand the incredible gift you are all bestowing upon me and I do not take the responsibility lightly. I will do my best to always keep your child's best interests at heart. Your children are now my children, as well.
