​​Lynne Olson, who teaches instrumental music at Auburn High School, is one of 12 finalists for the 2015 Illinois Teacher of the Year. 

​Ms. Olson earned an "Award of Excellence" in the Those Who Excel program; teachers earning the "excellence" rating are finalists for Teacher of the Year. The state's top teacher will be named Oct. 25 during the Those Who Excel banquet in October.
