Rockford Public Schools employees who work in the Administration Building, Transportation and Operations Support Center met at this year's second Downtown Leadership Club meeting on Nov. 19. At the beginning of the meeting employees gave shoutouts to their peers for living one or more of our organization's values: character, collaboration, communication and continuous improvement. The following shoutouts were given:
-The Bilingual Department and Kate Specht (Communications) were shouted out by Kari Neri of Curriculum
-Kate Specht also received a shoutout from Bridget French of College and Career Readiness
-Fadi Hijazi (Information Services) was recognized by Ellen Schubert of Human Resources
-Kristin Nash (Information Services), Donielle Oliveira and Cindy Carlson (Payroll), Pamela Hills (Finance) and Ellen Schubert received a shoutout from Cindy Hodges and Michele Sather of Finance
-the BusinessPLUS team was acknowledged by Dane Youngblood of Purchasing
All Rockford Public Schools will be closed on Monday, Nov. 26, because of the severe weather.

Kishwaukee Elementary School Principal Aimee Kasper will continue her leadership role at the new Constance Lane Elementary School in the 2019-20 school year.
Rockford Public Schools this year launched a school-specific accountability tool called a School Scorecard.
The School Board voted to hold the line on tax collections by levying well below its allowable rate.
