Engagement Survey a Tool for Continuous Improvement

12/5/2019 12:00 AM

Thanks to RPS 205 staff for participating in the Employee Engagement Survey. A total of 2,151 staff members responded to the survey, the highest response rate in three years.

My Cabinet and I will interpret the survey results in the coming weeks. Principals have received results for their school buildings, and will share them with school staff as well.

The survey is an important tool for continuous improvement, a core value in Rockford Public Schools. Last year, based on the survey results, our administrative team saw needs in three areas: communication, professional development and recognition. In response to these needs, we use the 205 VIBE to recognize staff and have revised our Institute Day format.

The survey was held Oct. 16-30 this year; it was administered by our research partner, K12 Insight. The company presented a summary of the results to the School Board at the Committee of the Whole earlier this week. You can find the presentation on BoardDocs.

In the meantime, please let me know if you have any questions via Let’s Talk!
