Sarah Sheridan is a fifth grade teacher at Kishwaukee Elementary School. Two
years ago her fifth graders provided content for author Anne Sibley O'Brien's
book, "I'm New Here." Former RPS 205 teacher and retired Rockford
Education Association President, Karen Bieschke, introduced Mrs. Sarah Sheridan
to Mrs. O’Brien. Mrs.
Sheridan has kept this relationship going and has now introduced this year's fifth
graders to Mrs. O’Brien. Now this year's class will also have an opportunity to be in her next book. Mrs. Sheridan also partners with Karen Bieschke every year to have her students attend and be part of the International Day of Peace celebration at the Keeling-Puri Peace Plaza.
