My fifth grade class at Washington Elementary
School celebrated our finished narratives with a publishing party! Each child
was given three colored Post-It notes and did a gallery walk to read their
fellow classmates’ finished writing pieces. The students shared messages of
encouragement and compliments for each other on the Post-Its and left them on
each narrative. The students were then given time to read the notes left behind
on their papers and to reflect on their excellence. We ended our writing class
by sharing a juice box toast and enjoying some fall-themed cookies. Cheers to
great writing everywhere!
The state released formal guidelines on Tuesday about what in-person learning will look like this fall.
