In response to the devastating tornadoes that hit communities on April 9th, Nashold 4th graders collected change in conjunction with the American Red Cross. Students and staff had the opportunity to drop change in the jug which sat in the office.
Mrs. Chamorro's class coordinated pink shirts Wednesday, March 25th. Nashold Bears who wish to help raise money for cancer research have the option of paying a dollar to wear pink on Wednesdays. The entire class participated this particular day.
Students enjoyed spending tickets earned at an all-school auction. Students also enjoyed a group art project and watching the movie Big Hero 6.
Students continue a series of lectures introducing them to agriculture. The series includes lessons on grains, dairy, meat, and fruits/vegetables.
A group of Nashold Bears decide to spend their lunch and recess reading. This is the first time that the book club has met.
Nashold is one of 48 schools in the Rockford Public School District. Together, RPS educates more than 28,000 children annually.
