Families are encouraged to skip the long summer lines and sign up their children now for kindergarten for the 2020-21 school year. Parents/guardians of children who will be 5 on or before Sept. 1 can visit the Welcome Center, 501 7th St., to enroll. The early enrollment window closes March 6.
Students attend kindergarten based on geographic zones that align with their parents/guardians' home address. Follow this link to search an address and find the assigned zone school. Special program options for kindergarten are Two-Way Language Immersion at Barbour and STEAM Academy at Haskell. The deadline to apply for special program lotteries is March 6. Once enrolled, families will register students in August and receive a classroom assignment, school supply list and pay fees for the upcoming school year.
