Construction in the Rockford Public Schools is part of the 10-year Facilities Master Plan, made possible through a successful $139 million capital bond referendum approved by voters in November 2012. School additions can be seen at Conklin, Froberg, Johnson, Lathrop, McIntosh and Spring Creek elementary schools. New field houses are being built at Auburn, Guilford and East high schools. Jefferson High School received a makeover in summer 2013, thanks to Sharefest community volunteers. Major paving work and high efficiency window upgrades have also been completed.
