Abby Compton is the Athletic Support Specialist at Rockford Public Schools. She has lived in the Rockford area for 22 years. Abby graduated from Rock Valley College in 2017 where she played collegiate volleyball. In 2018 Abby graduated from Northern Illinois University with a bachelor's degree in communication.
Aimee Kasper is the principal at Constance Lane Elementary School. She is in her 14th year working in RPS 205 and was principal at Kishwaukee Elementary School for eight years before being named principal at Constance Lane Elementary School.
Alondra Nava is a senior at Jefferson High School. Alondra is in the Health Sciences Academy and will pursue a career in nursing. She is a 2019 Rockford Promise Scholar.
Amal Mizyed is an eighth grade science teacher at Eisenhower Middle School.
Amanda Nguyen is an energetic kindergarten teacher who wholeheartedly believes in the power of STEM education. Amanda runs an after-school STEM club for grades 1-5.
Amy Ekstrom has been employed with RPS 205 for 13 years. She started with RPS 205 in 2005 as a routine worker in our food service department. Amy currently works in the Family and Community Engagement Department. She enjoys working with our district families and establishing meaningful community partners with our schools. Amy is married with two children; her oldest child is a junior at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and her youngest is a senior at Guilford.
Andrea Akerman is a food service manager at Auburn High School, where her stepson is a senior. Andrea has worked in the food service industry for 30 years.
Andrea Dahlberg is an art educator at Riverdahl Elementary School.
Andrea Holm is an art teacher at Gregory Elementary School. She has taught art for 28 years.
Andrew Fruth is a teacher at Nashold Early Childhood Center.
Andrew Fruth has taught Early Childhood in RPS 205 for the last five years. He is the Illinois Education Association Grassroots Political Activist for Region 21 which serves the Rockford region.
Angela Hite-Carter is the Executive Director for RPS 205 Student Services and Alternative Learning department. She is a Rockford native and graduate of Auburn High School. She has served RPS 205 in various educational positions for 28 years including sixth grade classroom teacher, middle and high School mathematics instructor, and Principal of Marsh Elementary School, East High School and Roosevelt Community Education Center.
Angela Lundin oversees the Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council. She has worked with students on the council since the 2011-12 school year. Angela feels privileged to work with amazing students who will be our future leaders. She is also the Executive Assistant to the Chief of Communications for Rockford Public Schools.
Anne Peiffer is in her first year as instructional coach at Welsh Elementary School. She previously taught second grade at Welsh for the last eight years. She has also taught at Haskell Academy and Washington Gifted Academy.

Anthony Stone is a physical education teacher at Gregory Elementary School. He is a local football coach, published author, and a blogger for Hudl and FirstDown PlayBook.
Brian K. Sewell has been teaching elementary physical education in Rockford Public Schools for 33 years and is currently teaching p.e. at Johnson Elementary School. Over the years, Coach Sewell has coached elementary basketball where his teams have won four Rockford Elementary Basketball Association championships. He has also coached middle and high school basketball. He was an assistant high school football coach for more than 15 years and was the head football coach for West Middle School where his team won the stateline middle school championship in 2005. Coach Sewell has also coached high school track and field for more than 32 years and was the Guilford head girls track coach in the mid-2000s. In 2003, Coach Sewell won a Golden Apple for his outstanding teaching and work in piloting the middle school football program to bring back middle school football to the district.
Anthony Wilson is a student support supervisor for RPS 205 as well as the head track coach and assistant football coach at East High School. Anthony’s passion is to empower young men and women to be successful in life both academically and in athletics. He’s a member of the 1985 East High School State Championship football team. Anthony also competed in track at the state level and was named all-conference. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University where he played football and ran track. Anthony will graduate with a master's degree in school counseling in May 2019. He is married to Trista Wilson, who is also a graduate of Rockford Public Schools. Antionette "Annie" Hobson is a 4-H Youth Development Educator with the University of Illinois Extension. She works with several schools within the district and other youth entities in the community to create youth learning opportunities that emphasize social emotional growth, college and career readiness, life skills and positive adult mentorships.
Aryan Arora is a senior at Auburn High School and an active member in the community. When he is not hard at work at school, he is leading the Superintendent's Student Advisory Council, running Auburn's debate club, competing at speech tournaments, or evaluating grants for the Community Foundation of Northern Illinois.
Ben Stover is the principal of RESA. He has lived in Rockford for the last four years.
Bill Rose is the Academy Coach at East High School. He oversees Career and Technical Education and the Production, Business, Health and Service Academy teams at East.
Bonnie Spurling is the Director of Fine Arts for Rockford Public Schools.
Brad Anderson is a banker at Associated Bank. He volunteers at RPS 205 and reads to kindergarten and first grade students through IREAD and Rockford Reads.
Brenda Burack is a contract speech pathologist who works from her home in Michigan.
Brent Pentenburg is the CEO of the YMCA of Rock River Valley. Brent has worked for the YMCA for more than 10 years, which all started in Georgia. He moved here with his wife more than five years ago and has developed so much love and passion for Rockford. He and his wife have four kids.

Brett Benning is a Guilford High School graduate who has been teaching in Rockford Public Schools for 21 years. Of those 21 years, the past 12 have been at Guilford. Megan Guthrie has been teaching for 13 years, and the past 12 have been at Guilford. Together, Brett and Megan started Guilford's Inclusion Club three years ago.
Brian Weavel is a parent/community liaison at Lincoln Middle School. Brian owned Anna's Pizza & Pasta in Winnebago the previous 24 years. He has been a guest speaker about the importance of community at the International Pizza Expo in Las Vegas and at the Midwest Food Service Expo. Brian was guest of the TV show "Small Business Revolution" because of his community work.
Bridget French was born and raised in Rockford. She is the Rockford Public Schools Executive Director of College and Career Readiness, overseeing high school Academies. Prior to working with RPS 205, Bridget was the Executive Director of Alignment Rockford, a nonprofit that connects community to serve our schools. She is the mother of two RPS 205 students.
Brooke Imbach is the librarian at Kennedy Middle School. She has worked in RPS 205 for five years and is proud to be a third-generation RPS 205 employee.
Callissa Franco is a senior at Jefferson High School and an intern with the YMCA Intern Challenge. She’d like to pursue a degree in physics and business at The University of Chicago, then pursue a career at NASA. She is a part-time crew leader at Culver's and has been employed there since the summer of 2017.
