Why do I love coaching? I enjoy helping young athletes work toward their goals in sports. Coaching allows me to help young men and women push themselves to be better than they thought they could be. Coaching also allows me to teach them life skills. Helping them understand hard work pays off. When they put in the hard work to reach their goals, they will see success.
My first passion is coaching football. I coached football at Auburn five years as head sophomore coach and assistant varsity football coach under Dan Appino, who changed the culture of the Auburn football program. I'm excited that I was a part of helping coach Appino make the Auburn football program one of the top teams in the NIC-10 Football conference. Now that I'm head track coach for both girls and boys track teams at Auburn, I'm working toward building one of the best track programs in the NIC-10. We have a strong core of coaches who have the same goal: to grow our track program. If we can get the athletes to come out, we will make that happen for the track program.
