I might not have been born and raised in Rockford, but Rockford is where we are raising our family. I believe in supporting the community I live in through my job, my family and buying local as much as possible. My comment is not intended to offend anyone. It is just what I believe is right for me.
I am proud to be a teacher for RPS 205. My family and I live in Rockford, my children attend Rockford Public Schools, and my wife is the PTO president at our children's elementary school. There is no such thing as a perfect city or perfect job. I learned a long time ago that we can't expect something to get better if we aren't willing to support it.
My wife and I believe in RPS 205 and everything it offers. RPS 205 has a vision of being the first choice for all families and is working hard to accomplish it. That is what sets them apart as leaders; they continually raise the bar.
We anticipate this process will speed up in the coming days.
